Pennyroyal

Pennyroyal is a very versatile herb with many powerful abilities. It is believed to be highly protective, and in lore, many sex workers would carry or have a pin of pennyroyal to protect them from harm. Travellers would place a few leaves in each shoe as it was believed to offer protection on journeys and guard against tired feet.
 
Pennyroyal is also used to break hexes and curses. It acts as a shield that when hit shatters the spell that it came in to contact with.
 
In ancient Greece and Rome, wearing a crown of pennyroyal was believed to relieve headaches and pain of the mind.
 
This herb can be used to celebrate the mysteries of Demeter and Persephone. It is used in the Ritual drink known as Kykeon, the sacramental brew served during the celebrations of the Elysian mysteries in ancient Greece.

Using what the earth provides locally and being a self-sustaining craft with no mass farming or importing. Using what the earth and the Seasons provide, keeping our herb craft as traditional as possible.
