Marigold

Marigold flower of Protection, Purity, Celebration of Life and Death, Auspiciousness and The Divine Body. Marigold has been held in extremely high regard by many people especially in the South Americas. According to legend, cempasúchil, which comes from the Nahuatl words cemposalli, meaning “twenty,” and xochitl, or “flower,” making marigolds the “flower of twenty petals,” were miraculously gifted to the Nahua by Tonatiuh, their sun god, so that they might honor their dead. Today, the marigold continues to be featured prominently in all aspects of Day of the Dead rituals.
 
 
Marigold is an amazing ingredient in protection workings and as an offering when working with the dead.

Each one of our Herbs & Roots is individually hand picked, hand dried & hand blessed. It is important to us that all of our herbs are locally grown in one of our many Gardens or is hand foraged from the wilds of Cornwall. Using what the earth provides locally and being a self sustaining craft with no mass farming or importing.
 
 
Using what the earth and the season provide keeping our herb craft as traditional as possible.
